Environmental Qualification

Several environmental tests, performed in accordance with Mil-Specs, are performed in-house. A Tenney Benchmaster environmental machine is used to cycle parts through standard and custom temperature and humidity profiles. A salt spray/fog machine, operated in accordance with ASTM-B-117, is also part of our test capability.
 
We perform standard Mil-Spec coating durability tests (e.g. hardness, adhesion, and abrasion) on coated optics. We also work closely with outside laboratories that perform laser damage and fungus tests.
